Frequently Asked Questions

The extension is available for Google Chrome (and Chromium-based browsers like Edge, Brave, Opera) and Mozilla Firefox. Install from the respective extension stores.

All profile data, favorites, notes, tags, and scan results are stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. Nothing is sent to any external server. The only server communication is for account authentication and subscription management.

Browser extensions require a desktop browser. Mobile browsers (Chrome for Android, Safari for iOS) don't support this type of extension. You'll need to use a desktop or laptop computer.

You can scan three types of pages:

• City / region pages — e.g. /p/united-states/colorado/kinksters
• Fetish pages — e.g. /fetishes/bondage/kinksters
• Group member pages — e.g. /groups/12345/members

The extension detects valid pages automatically and will prompt you if you're on the wrong type of page. If you're on a group's main page rather than its Members tab, the scanner will navigate you there for you.

Several reasons this can happen:

• FetLife limits results to 10,000 profiles when browsing locations or fetish profiles. This is not our limit but theirs. You'll see a "reached the end" message.
• Your plan's page limit was reached (free plan: 5 pages). Consider upgrading to a paid plan for higher limits — your support helps fund ongoing updates and improvements to the tool.
• The browser tab was closed or navigated away during the scan.
• A network error interrupted the connection.

If you close the scan tab mid-scan, the extension finalizes whatever was captured and opens the report automatically — you won't lose your work.

Every username found during a scan is saved to a local tracking database. On future scans, the extension checks each profile against this database. If a username has never been seen before, it's marked as "New" with a rainbow highlight. This persists across sessions — even if you close the browser and scan again days later, it remembers who you've already seen. Using "Clear All Data" will reset this tracking along with everything else (favorites, notes, tags). See below for details on each clear option.

Click the ⏰ Remind Me button on any profile card to schedule a follow-up alert. Pick a time (presets like "In 1 hour," "Tomorrow," "3 days," "1 week," or a custom date/time) and optionally add a note like "Follow up on our conversation."

When the reminder fires, you'll get a system notification, the extension icon shows a red badge with the count of pending reminders, and a Reminders section appears at the top of your report listing both fired and upcoming reminders. Click the notification to jump to the report.

Reminders live entirely on your device. They survive browser restarts, scan history changes, and "Clear Scans" — they only go away when you delete them individually or use "Clear All Data."

Curious (Free): Scan up to 5 pages, basic gender filters (M/F only), no role filters.

Prowler: Up to 500 pages per scan, all genders, role filters, up to 5 different cities per month.

Dominant: Everything in Prowler plus unlimited cities. Full unrestricted access.

Click the extension icon, then click your account email at the top to open the account management page. From there you can see your current plan, upgrade, and manage billing. Payments are handled securely through Stripe.

Yes. Use the Export Data button in the extension popup to download a JSON backup file. On the new computer, install the extension, then use Import Data to restore everything — profiles, favorites, notes, tags, and settings.

"Clear Scans" removes scan results and history but keeps your favorites, notes, tags, and the username tracking database (new profile detection still works).

"Clear Notes" removes notes, contacted status, and hidden profiles. Keeps scan results, favorites, tags, and tracking.

"Clear All Data" is a full reset — removes everything including favorites, notes, tags, scan results, and the username tracking database. All profiles will appear as "new" on your next scan since the history of who you've seen is completely erased.

Profile images are fetched from the CDN during the scan and embedded directly into the saved data. If images are missing:

• Make sure you're logged in to the site during the scan so the CDN allows image access.
• Check that the extension has the required permissions (it should prompt you on install).
• Some profiles may not have a profile photo — these will show a placeholder.
